About Manlin House

Manalin House is a purpose built single storey home, the facility is registered with pension level SAVVI FUNDED SRS and licensed by the Department of Families,Fairness and Housing to provide services to up to 45 residents. Manalin House provides accommodation, full board and assistance with personal care for the residents, be it for a long term PERMAMENT stay, a short term TEMPORARY stay or for RESPITE and CONVALSCENCE.

The facility has secure KEYPAD Entry and Exit, Air Conditioning to common areas, Ducted Central Heating System in all rooms (including common areas) there is a lovely garden with a Gazebo and BBQ area used for Entertainment. There are three vegetable patches for residents who enjoy growing plants and vegetables.

Accommodation Options: There are a variety of the rooms to choose from which private single rooms, shared rooms and couple rooms.
All rooms have in built robes, ducted centre heating, phone and TV points. the building is fitted with grab rails, non-slip flooring with all rooms are connected to an integrated emergency CALL BELL system.

Meals

All meals are cooked in house by our two specialist cooks. A four-week rotated menu tailored in consultation with a qualified nutritionist, offers 6 meals/refreshments every day. These include breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper which are all prepared in house in a modern kitchen, maintaining a high standard of hygiene and food safety practices, offering a variety of dishes and cuisines. Meals can also be catered according to individual needs and dietary requirements at additional cost.

Fee and Charge

There are No Deposit required and Below Disability Pension. However, FEE are required to be paid Fortnightly In Advance. At Manalin House, Fee are very competitive considering the services offered and are determined according to resident’s individual care needs and the type of room.

Activities

At Manalin House we offer a range of activities including outing music,movies,craft and games. We have a range of communal facilities including spacious lounge area, perfect for watch TV , listening to music or have a friendly chat and various sitting rooms. Regular activities may include Exercise Sessions, Bingo session on-site Entertainment with Live Music and vocal performances, occasional bus outings and shopping trips. For those interested in gardening, there are plenty of opportunities including elevated veggie patches to grow vegetables and plants. Art and drawing class . Local church lunch experience, Abris activities incuding park trip, Beach Trip, shopping, morning tea, BBQ.

Team Selection

At Manalin, we have a very meticulous selection process to add new Personal Support Carers to our team.

The property Judy has a nursing background and has been running her own SRS IN WESTERN suburbs with high reputation for many year , All together with her passion, hardly working and the business acumen to run a supported residential care facility, the technical and legislative/regulatory knowledge of the SRS Act and Regulations to implement best practices, has helped Manlin House to be transformed into a facility which has set a new benchmark of care standards in Supported and Assisted Residential living within the SRS industry.

At Manlin House, we endeavor to deliver the ambience and comfort that one can only expect at home. To top this, we deliver personal care services tailored to individual needs and every team member is expected to personally know each resident.

Personal Support Workers (PSW)

Corandirk House has a team of 8 Personal Care Workers who are experienced in SRS, are polite, patient, having a passion to help others, and are well trained to offer assistance in day to day activities as well as in emergencies.

All PSC, PSW are Certificate III or Higher in SRS qualified; hold First Aid, Medical Competency and Food Handling Certifications. Moreover, there’s an interview process to ensure screening and selection of only those applicants who display excellent communication skills, personal qualities of compassion, patience, a drive to help others and the flexibility to go out of the way assisting those in need.

Staffing & Rosters

During the day i.e. from 07:00 AM to 09:00 PM, we have Personal Care Support staff available to attend to resident needs under the supervision of the Personal Support Coordinator (PSC). Outside these our in house Night Staff is on duty every night.

Complaints

The Manager of the facility is the appointed Complaints Officer of Manalin House. A book is available at the front office in which you can write your concerns and suggestions. We appreciate any input and will do our best to address and resolve your concerns promptly. Confidentiality is maintained at all the times.

Personal & Special Care Services At Manalin House

At Manalin House, cleaning of rooms is done daily. Assistance with bed making is available daily if required. Fresh linen is provided weekly or as the need arises. Assistance with personal laundry is available weekly or as required.
